The team was founded by Johnny Graziano and myself, Jason Cohen, back in the winter of 2013. Both runners at first, Johnny had asked me to do Riverhead Rocks, a local Olympic tri here in Riverhead, NY. Always up for the challenge, I said, “Yes,” not knowing what I had just gotten myself into. We decided that training for the Tri would be much more fun if we trained with other like-minded athletes. So I posted a swim event on another Facebook Group. A few weeks later, Bobby Moore, one of the first members of our team, named us the “Wildwood Warriors after Wildwood Lake where we train, and the rest, as they say, is history in the making!
